Two runs slated during fair

The first annual Pea Ridge Fair 5 K and Mile Run will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 18, on the school grounds downtown Pea Ridge.
The 5 K, a loop around the city, will offer divisions for all ages from 9 and under to 60 plus. There will be standard 5-year age groups for adults with 3-year age groups for 18 and under runners. The 5 K will get underway at 8 a.m. with the mile to start five minutes later.
The mile will feature singleyear age groups for kids 12 and under along with a non-competitive mile walk for all comers.
Trophies will be awarded to all 5 K divisional winners with medallions to all 2 nd through 5 th place finishers. In the mile run for kids, gold medallions will be given to all divisional winners with silvers to all seconds, and bronzes to all other runners.
Entry fees are $ 10 for the 5 K and $ 4 for the mile run. Race Tshirts will be made available for $ 6.
