Coming off nearly three weeks of inactivity, Pea Ridge High School head football coach Mark Laster was pleased with his team's effort in a 7 on 7 competition in Bentonville Monday night. After losing to 7 A power Bentonville 21-6 to open the evening, Pea Ridge came back to whip Elkins 14-8 before settling for an 8-8 tie with West Fork.
"We came out not nearly as aggressive as Bentonville, but the more we played, the more we got into it and performed pretty well all things considered," Laster remarked. "The two dead weeks and the holidays have slowed us down some but I am happy with their effort."
The 'Hawks travel to Shiloh field next Monday to play Springdale, Huntsville, Shiloh and Gentry.
