BBQ chicken sale and free carwash There will be a barbecue chicken sale beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24, in the Fred's parking lot. Chicken will be sold for $ 3 a half or two halves for $ 5. There will also be a free car wash. Proceeds will benefit Pea Ridge High School varsity cheerleaders. Babe Ruth fundraiser A fundraiser will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, in the parking lot of Community First Bank for the senior Babe Ruth champions. Hot dogs, chips, a drink and a cookie will be $ 3. Lil' 'Hawks basketball camp slated Pea Ridge will host a Lil''Hawks basketball camp June 2 -6 at the high school gym for children from third through sixth grade.
The cost is $ 50 and all proceeds go to the basketball program. Each child receives a camp T-shirt and certificate. There will be contest and competitions for awards. Concessions will be available for purchase during breaks.

The Ten Star All Star Summer Basketball Camp is by invitation only. Boys and girls ages 10 to 19 are eligible to apply. This is a four-person, bestball scramble with fun events on the course, such as the longest drive for men and women, closest to the pin, the longest putt, a putting contest and a hole-in-one prize hole. Mulligans also will be sold. Shotgun starts will be at 8 a.m. and 1 p. m., with lunch served from 11: 30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. Individuals, teams and sponsors are welcome.
Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the development of an ecological subdivision called Habitat Trails. The subdivision will include homes for 17 families, a wetlands area and a park.

Girls volleyball clinic at the Jones Center A free Girls Volleyball Clinic will be held at the Jones Center for Families, Springdale, from 10 a.m. to noon June 7 through Aug. 9 for girls ages 14 through 18. The clinic will be taught by Coach Hal in the gym and focus on basic through advanced skills and drills, pass, sets, hits, spikes, court awareness, team effort and scholarship prep.
Coach Hal is a certified United States Volleyball Association, High School, College and International coach. He is a certified sports first aid and trainer and is also a member of the United States Volleyball Coach Association. He has 30 years experience.

Triathlon and trail run set at Lake Leatherwood On June 7, athletes from over 12 states will converge on the historic town of Eureka Springs for a day of off-road competition. The third annual XTERRA Eureka Springs - Off-Road Triathlon and Trail Run will take place in the 1, 600-acre Lake Leatherwood City Park located just outside of Eureka Springs. The race will consist of a 0. 5-mile swim, 13-mile mountain bike and 5-mile trail run. The separate trail running race is 3. 5-mile and will take place in the morning before the off-road triathlon.

Registration will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 13 at the Embassy Suites in Rogers, and from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. June 14 at the staging area in the parking lot east of Dillard's.
Fees are $ 15 for the 5 K prior to June 7, $ 20 after June 7 and $ 50 for a family of four or more. The Fun Run is free for children 10 and under.
