Alumni Day 2008 at Pea Ridge High School is set for this Saturday, July 12, at the High School cafeteria. Events of the day start at 9 a.m. and continue until about 2: 30 p.m. All former students of the high school, former teachers, administrators and staff persons are invited to the school reunion.

Featured this year during a noon-hour concert will be gospel pianist Johnny Garrison, a PRHS graduate from the Class of 1956. Although now semi-retired, Garrison continues to do chaplaincy work in his area of Indianapolis, as well as continuing his ministry through church music, programs, and recordings. At least two of his CD recordings will be available during the day. Always brilliant and inspiring at the piano, Rev. Garrison will do an interactive program, including taking requests from the audience.

The primary activities during Alumni Day will be the opportunities for PRHS alumni to see old school friends, make new acquaintances, and strengthen the Alumni Association as it works to support the High School's current student body, faculty, staff and administrators. Each hour, on the hour, a drawing will be held for prizes, concluding with a drawing for a 50-50 cash prize. Before the lunch break, elections will be held for Alumni Association Board members. Three persons are to be elected to serve threeyear terms on the Alumni Board. A light lunch provided by the Pea Ridge Subway will be available beginning at 11: 30 a.m. A donations jar will be available and donations supporting the lunch will be appreciated.

Some graduating classes are holding their own class reunions during the Alumni Day weekend. This includes the Class of 1958, which is this year's 50 th Year Class. Tables are available at Saturday's Alumni Day gathering for classes wishing to set up displays of their class memorabilia and other items of interest. To request a table, contact Jerry Nichols at 621-1621.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors and other planners for Alumni Day express their gratitude for the helpful support and responses by sponsors from throughout the Pea Ridge community.
