SEEK students learn and win

The fifth- and sixth-grade SEEK students competed in the area Science Olympiad held at the Jones Center in Springdale on April 21. They took a first place in Bridge Building and Can Race. They placed second in Straw Tower and third in Boggle Science. The students practiced for their various events for several weeks, learning many scientific principles as they prepared for the annual competition. They finished the day by having lunch at a nearby park.
The seventh- and eighthgrade SEEK students competed in the area Science Olympiad held at the Jones Center in Springdale on April 29. They took first place in Write It-Do It. They took second in Naked Egg Drop, Pasta Mobile and Structure and a third place in Crossword Science. They finished the day by having lunch at a nearby park.
