The American Legion, Post 100, Rogers, is holding a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the post home, 711 Persimmon St., across from the Post Office. Menu will consist of catfish fillets, french fries, hush puppies, baked beans, slaw, onion and drink. Eat in or carry out. Free delivery on five orders or more. Suggest donation is $ 7 for adults. Call 631-1298 to order ahead. The Ladies American Legion Auxiliary will also hold a bake sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds go to benefit American Legion Children's Home. Nicholas Sparks coming to Rogers Rogers Public Library Foundation will present "Conversations with Nicholas Sparks," author of "The Notebook," at events in Rogers on Oct. 10-11. Sparks is to appear at a seminar for high school creative writing students, a private reception and a public breakfast event at Embassy Suites Northwest Arkansas. Reservations are available now at Rogers Public Library for the breakfast event. The event is from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11 with doors opening at 8: 30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites in Rogers. Heartbeat of the Ozarks Apple Blossom Retirement Living will be raising funds to be contributed to the Meals on Wheels of Rogers organization during their Oct. 11 presentation of the Heartbeat of the Ozarks Classic Car Club show at Apple Blossom located at 2501 N. 22 nd St., Rogers, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fall Eagle Watch The 16 th annual Eagle Watch on Beaver Lake will be Oct. 17-19 at Starkey Park in Eureka Springs. This early bird watch event welcomes the bald eagles as they return to Beaver Lake as their fall and winter habitat. The watch takes place on a 12-mile cruise aboard the Belle of the Ozarks with a dozen points of interest including a 200-acre game preserve island.
