Mountie Speed Camp Rogers High School will host a speed camp at Blackie Bond Fieldhouse on July 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25 and 28. The cost is $ 10 per day. The camp for high school athletes will be held from 7 a. m. to 8 a. m. while the camp for middle school athletes will be held from 8 a. m. to 9 a. m. Participants will get a free Tshirt. Rogers Community-School Recreation Association registration for the 2008 Adult Fall Softball season will be taken through July 21 at the Rogers Activity Center.

The entire entry fee will be due when the roster is turned in. There will be eight leagues offered:

Wednesday Men’s Open ($ 480 )

Friday Men’s Open ($ 480 )

Monday Men’s Industrial ($ 480 )

Thursday Men’s Church ($ 380 )

Tuesday Co-Ed Open ($ 380 )

Thursday Co-Ed Open ($ 380 )

Monday Co-Ed Church ($ 380 )

Friday Co-Ed Church ($ 380 ).

A limited number of teams will be taken in each league. Early registration is suggested.

Teams playing will be required to hit their own softballs. The softball must be an ASA or NSA stamped softball. Men will hit a 0. 40 core and women will hit a 0. 44 core. League games will begin the week of Aug. 18.

Rogers Community-School Recreation Association registration for the 2008 Youth Tackle Football League will be taken until Aug. 9 at the Rogers Activity Center.

There will be two leagues offered:

• 4 th-5 th grade

6 th-7 th grade.

The registration fee is $ 50 per player. Each player must show proof of a current physical (2008 ) before equipment will be given out. Equipment will be given out on Aug. 9 at the following times: 7 th grade (9 a. m. ), 6 th grade (10: 30 a. m. ), 5 th grade (noon ) and 4 th grade (1: 30 p. m. ).

Each participant must have a current RAC membership ($ 20 ). The membership is current for one year from the date of purchase. Rogers Youth Fall Soccer League

Rogers Community-School Recreation Association registration for the 2008 Youth Fall Soccer League will be taken until Aug. 9 at the Rogers Activity Center. Children ages 4 through 17 are eligible to participate. Children must turn 4 by July 31 to participate. The registration fees are as follows:

Little Kicksters (4-yearolds ) and Under 6 ($ 40 )

Under 7 through Under 12 ($ 50 )

Under 14 through Under 18 ($ 100 ).

Each participant must have a current RAC membership ($ 20 ).

The membership is current for one year from the date of purchase. Arkansas baseball camps

The Arkansas Razorbacks will offer the Razorbacks Baseball Pitcher / Catcher Camp on July 14-15. It is for ages 7-15. The cost is $ 200.

The Brazilian Summer Soccer Camps will be held at Memorial Park in Bentonville the weeks of July 14-18 and July 28-Aug. 1.

Players from ages 4 to 18 and all skill levels are challenged daily in all aspects of the game, with emphasis on technique.

Trained instructors have more than 20 years of experience in the game both playing and coaching at all levels, from professional, college and high school. Camp instructors also have many years of professional playing experience internationally. The camp will also offer goalkeeper training for all ages and skill levels from coaches specializing in the Goalkeeper Program.

The first 500 campers will receive a special edition Brazilian Soccer Camp Ball and T-shirt.

Members of the same family receive a discount — first member full price, second member $ 10 off and third member and after $ 20 off.

Bethany Christian Services will host its annual Benefit for Babies Tennis Tournament at Summerhill Racquet Club in Rogers on July 18-20. This adult tournament is open to all levels in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

All proceeds will support the Northwest Arkansas office serving families in Benton, Boone, Carroll, Crawford, Madison, Sebastian and Washington counties. Mercy 15 th annual Golf Classic The Mercy Health Foundation of Northwest Arkansas is now accepting registration for its 15 th annual Golf Classic at Pinnacle Country Club.

The foundation expects 200 participants to fill two flights of the four person scramble on July 21.

This year’s golf classic committee includes August Rusher, Christy Trussell, Allysa Trussell, Connie McManus, Ron Curran, Keith Faught, John Harrel, Beth Huskins, Ken Trussell, Mark Kreymborg, Melissa Toliver, Charlotte Rankin, Tina Winham and Kathy Wilmoth.

Contests include a $ 1 Million Super Shot Contest, putting contest, longest drive, women’s longest drive and closest to the pin.

The foundation’s goal is to raise $ 50, 000 from this event. Proceeds raised by the event help the foundation provide vital funding for programs, equipment, charity care and capital needs.
