SAWIN' LOGS The Titanic Museum & Attraction will hold a "World-Class Wood Carver's Competition"in its outdoor parking area from Oct. 10-12. In honor of the Titanic's German passengers and crew, spectators -- at no cost -- can watch experts carve detailed pieces and show their ability with a chain saw in a 75-minute speed-carving contest. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10-11 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12. SMALL TOWN, BIG NAMES MusicFest El Dorado will take place Oct. 3-4 on five stages in the city's downtown. Billed as having its "biggest line-up ever,"the list of performers includes noteworthy live music acts such as Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shooter Jennings, John Anderson and Reckless Kelly. More than 30 bands are slated to perform at the 21st edition of the festival. Daily admission is $15/adults and $5/children 12 and under. Children 6 and younger get in free.
