Cash, drugs seized in task force bust

An undercover operation by Fayetteville police resulted in the seizure of 130 ecstasy pills and $ 3, 544.
Daniel Armstrong, 32, of 2118 Chestnut II, No. 1, in Fayetteville faces felony charges involving five counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Officers with the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force reportedly conducted various undercover drug buys from Armstrong as part of an ongoing narcotics trafficking investigation.
On Tuesday, police issued a search warrant on Armstrong's residence. He was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $ 5, 000 bond. He is scheduled to make his first appearance on Friday in Washington County Circuit Court.
