Fishing reports are down a bit this week as deer hunting went to the head of the class but spinnerbaits kept entering the conversation concerning bass. Cooler weather also should kick start crappie fishing once again and don't forget trout fishing below the dam. Good luck and enjoy the weather. Beaver Lake Southtown Sporting Goods - Bass are biting early on spinnerbaits fished in the shallows. Later on in the day, crankbaits get the nod. A few crappie are being caught but the water temps need to drop just a bit for prime fishing. Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers - Aaron Jolliff says fishing's getter better and better with each passing week. Drop shots and spoons continue to catch bass but a good spinnerbait bite is picking up. Hickory Creek Marina - Lee Winkler says crappie are hitting minnows on spider rigs fished tight to brush down to 30 feet. Bass are hitting spinnerbaits fished near flooded, dead wood. A few bass are schooling early and late. Blue gill fishing is good around the edges on crickets and worms. Beaver Tailwaters - Beaver Dam Store reports good trout action on pheasant tails, woolly buggers (black, olive ), sow bugs, scuds, Copper Johns, midges, Rock Creek caddis, Norfork Specials, San Juan worms, and crawdad patterns. The best lures are Shad Raps, Rapala Countdowns, Kastmasters (silver, blue ), and Rooster Tails (silver, black ). Night crawlers, wax worms, minnows, and Power Bait (white, yellow, sunrise, orange ) are the top baits.

Bella Vista Lakes - Justin reports fair bass fishing on Loch Lomond and Windsor. Finesse worms and C-Tail worms are catching bass, as are topwater baits early. Crappie action is slow. Catfish are fair on stink bait and night crawlers.

Lake Fayetteville - Blue gill are hitting crickets and occasionally, a catfish will show up as well. Crappie are slow but a few will hit minnows or jigs. Bass are hitting worms, jigs and spinnerbaits.

Lake Sequoyah - Albert reports big channel cats being caught on chicken liver. Some nice crappie are coming in on minnows down to three feet. Bass are hitting plastic worms and small spinnerbaits. Perch fishing is good.

Upper Table Rock Lake - J. D. Fletcher reports crappie biting small tubes fished near docks with brush. Bass are biting early on buzzbaits and later in the day, Carolina rigs, jig-and-pigs and Rattle Traps take top billing.

Kings River - J. D. Fletcher says 80 fish were caught on a recent guide trip. The best baits are watermelon or pumpkin tubes and buzzbaits.
