GAELIC FOOTBALL The Northwest Arkansas Gaelic Athletic Association is recruiting people to play the national sport of Ireland, Gaelic football. Unlike soccer, Gaelic football is a catch and carry contact game featuring shoulder checking but without the bone-shattering, rugby-style tackling. Defense is strictly man-to-man, making co-ed play with a wide range of ages easily accomodated. Training and pickup-style scrimmages are currently held at 1 p.m. every other Sunday at Asbell Elementary in Fayetteville. No experience is necessary and you don't have to have any Irish ancestry at all to play ! For more information, visit NWA GAA on the web at http: // nwa. northamerican. gaa. ie.
