Ice cream social to promote volunteerism in Goshen

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is holding an ice cream social from 12: 30-1: 30 p. m. Friday at the Goshen United Methodist Church.
Ice cream will be served immediately following lunch at the Goshen Senior Center.
The nationwide volunteer program is designed for adults ages 55 and older to use their life experiences, skills and knowledge to help others in need.
In Washington County, program volunteers provide more than 50, 000 hours annually to area nonprofit agencies such as senior centers, libraries, schools and hospitals.
