A 21-year-old Fayetteville man who robbed a convenience store with a handgun in July 2007 pleaded guilty Thursday.
Danyone L. Boyd, 21, was sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction on the burglary charge.
He was also charged with theft by receiving and failure to appear in court. He received suspended sentences of 10 years on both of those charges.
The suspended sentences run concurrently with each other and consecutively to the sentence on burglary. He received credit for serving 209 days in the Washington County Detention Center.
Boyd is accused on July 11, 2007, of demanding and stealing money from Fast Trax, 1240 N. Garland Ave., in Fayetteville while armed with a handgun.
He was arrested on July 28 by Fayetteville police after they searched his home and found a jacket, mask and shoes matching those worn by the robbery suspect, who was recorded by surveillance equipment, according to the police report.
Police also found a computer and a television set that had been reported stolen from a Fayetteville home, according to the report.
