Sheriff’s Office employees graduate from enforcement training academy

Several Washington County Sheriff 's Office employees graduated Friday from the Northwest Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Elm Springs, Sheriff Tim Helder said.

Rhys Gaesswitz, 22, of Winslow has been employed since Jan. 17, 2007. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class and transferred to the Patrol Division in March. He spent three years in the Army prior to working for the Sheriff's Office.

Brandon Whitehouse, 21, of Fayetteville has been employed since June 20, 2005. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class in June 2006. Whitehouse was transferred to the Patrol Division in March.

Daniel Walker, 22, of Fayetteville has been employed since Dec. 12, 2005. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class in August 2007. Walker was transferred to the Patrol Division in March.

Alana K. Hollingsworth, 36, of West Fork has been employed since Aug. 21, 2006. She began her career as a booking officer and was promoted to adult detention officer in January 2007. She was then promoted to deputy first class and transferred to the Patrol Division in February.

Shawn McClellan, 36, of Lincoln has been employed since Dec. 27, 2004. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class in May 2005. He is currently assigned to the Community Service Division.

Brandi Copeland of West Fork has been employed since Oct. 4, 2004. She began her career as an adult detention officer, was promoted to deputy first class in February 2005 and was promoted to her current position of corporal in the Detention Center in June 2005.

Wade Fortin, 21, of Springdale has been employed since Aug. 8, 2005. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class in August 2006. Fortin was transferred to the Patrol Division in March.

Julie Copeland, 39, of Fayetteville has been employed since Oct. 23, 2006. She began her career as a booking officer and was promoted to adult detention officer in April 2007. She was then promoted to deputy first class and transferred to Courthouse Security in December 2007.

Brian Walton, 40, of Lincoln has been employed since Dec. 27, 2004. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class in May 2005.

Cherub Rose Krug, 23, of Springdale has been employed since Jan. 17, 2005. She began her career as an adult detention officer and was promoted to deputy first class in May 2005. She is currently assigned to the Transport Division.

Christopher Kevin Sears, 29, of Springdale has been employed since Jan. 29, 2007. He began his career as an adult detention officer and was promoted deputy first class and transferred to the Patrol Division in March.
