Canehill man arrested for alleged sexual assault

A Canehill man is in custody, accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
Alvie Fletcher, 37, of 19382 N. Skylight Mountain in Canehill, was arrested Friday on charges of rape and fourth-degree sexual assault.
The warrant originally was out of Lincoln.
Lincoln police Chief Jim Acker said the victim notified her school counselor in July of the incidents. The counselor notified the police, who turned over the investigation to the Arkansas State Police and put out a warrant for Fletcher's arrest.
