Police arrest man for gunshot through apartment wall

A Fayetteville man was arrested Thursday, suspected of accidentally shooting a gun through his neighbor’s wall.

Pablo Facio, 29, of 2696 N. Club Drive, faces criminal charges of possession of a firearm by certain persons, discharging center-fire weapons violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fayetteville police responded to the Lake Village Apartments at about 11 p. m. Wednesday night.

According to 911 dispatch records, Facio’s neighbor told police he heard a gunshot at about 7: 30 p. m. He later noticed a hole in his bedroom wall, surrounded by debris.

Police later identified Facio as a suspect.

“ The gun was fired from his apartment, which is next door, ” Lt. Mike Perryman said. “ He accidentally fired a. 22 rifle from inside his home. ”

Perryman said no injuries were reported.

Facio was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on a $ 650 bond Thursday. He is expected to make his first appearance in the Washington County Circuit Court today.
