Fayetteville Public Library

The library is hosting a WrestleMania Reading Challenge for teens, who are asked to read 10 items of their choosing between now and Jan. 12. They can track their selections on readers logs at www.faylib.org or in the teen area of the library. Prizes include a trip to WrestleMania in Houston and $2,000 for the Fayetteville Public Library. The event is open to students in fifth through 12th grade.

The library will host a special story time at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Dorothy and Toto from the touring production of "Wizard of Oz" for children and families. The library will also be holding a ticket give away to "Wizard of Oz" at the Walton Arts Center.

Michael Lindsey will host a lecture and book signing for his new book chronicling the history of the Arkansas State Police, "Big Hat Law: Arkansas and Its State Police" at 2 p.m. Saturday in the library's Walker Community Room. Books will be available for sale after the lecture.

Weekly events for children include Preschool Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room; Bilingual Story Time at 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room; Baby Bookworms at 9:45 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays in the Walker Community Room; Toddler Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room; and Saturday Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room.
