Jessica Dianne Waack and Christopher Lee Palmer, both of Shawnee, Okla., plan to marry at 6 p. m. Aug. 9, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Karen and Timothy Waack of Fort Smith. She is the granddaughter of Chloris and Victor Turner of Arnett, Okla., and Nina Waack of Fort Smith and the late Richard Waack.
She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee and is a volleyball coach at Shawnee High School.
The prospective groom is the son of Tricia and Terry Palmer of Maud, Okla. He is the grandson of Hazel Seward and the late Jim Seward of Vucca Valley, Calif., and the late Mildred and Lillard Palmer.
He has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee and is a valve tester at Wood Group Co.
