Rita Estelle Patanella of Bentonville and Brian Scott Hafley of Springdale plan to marry at 2 p. m. Aug. 2, 2008, at Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Reba and Joe Patanella of Rogers. She is the granddaughter of the late Clara and Fred Andrews and the late Estelle and Joseph Patanella.
She has an associate’s degree from Wallace State Community College from Hanceville, Ala. She is a registered respiratory therapist at Apria Healthcare in Lowell and at Healthsouth Rehab Hospital in Fayetteville.
The prospective groom is the son of Carolyn and Mark Hafley of College Station, Texas. He is the grandson of Florine and George Beimer of College Station, Texas, and the late Fern and Edward Hafley.
He has a doctorate in food science from Texas A & M University and is a senior food technologist in research and development at Tyson Foods Inc. in Springdale.
