Outstanding bar association The Sebastian County Bar Association received an Outstanding Local Bar Association Award for the 2007-08 bar year. The Sebastian County Bar Association was honored in recognition of its many outstanding activities that it has accomplished which enhances the position and standing of the legal profession. The Outstanding Local Bar Association Award, given annually by the Arkansas Bar Foundation and the Arkansas Bar Association, was presented during the Fellows' Dinner of the Arkansas Bar Foundation at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs on June 11. Officers of the Sebastian County Bar Association for the 2007-08 bar year are Shannon L. Blatt, president; Daniel A. Stewart, vice president; and Coby W. Logan, secretary / treasurer. NWA Restaurant & Kitchen Supply opens in Springdale Northwest Arkansas Restaurant & Kitchen Supply, owned by Doug Robbins, is now open for business, located at Ozark Center Point Place shopping center next to Jose's in Springdale. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Mission Accomplished "The Sonic Drive-In crew at 2908 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville is one step closer to qualifying for the national finals of the 14 th annual Dr. Pepper Sonic Games, the competition that recognizes the best Sonic Drive-Ins in the country. The Fayetteville Sonic is one of 300 remaining drive-ins striving to become one of the final 12 teams to participate in the Dr. Pepper Sonic Games National Finals in Palmetto, Fla., on Sept. 15-16.

This year's incentive-driven competition attracted more than 2, 700 drive-ins across the country to the competition, setting an alltime participation record.

The nine-month, Olympic-style competition evaluates individual crew members from coast to coast in the following categories: Carhop (food delivery ), Fountain (drink preparation ), Switchboard (service delivery ), Dresser, Grill and Swamp (food preparation ). Crew members compete on an individual and team basis for the chance to be named national finalists. Sonic's top executives will honor the Dr. Pepper Sonic Games winners with gold, silver and bronze medals at its national convention in Orlando, Fla., this fall.
