STRICTLY COMMERCIAL : ‘New urbanism’ flourishes in west Fayetteville project

Merry-Ship & Alt Real Estate Group Inc., along with Nock Investments LLC, have tagged to their joint venture Rupple Row. They hosted an invitation-only grand opening part on Oct. 19 to give a sneak peek of “ a neighborhood with a passion for community. ” The development consists of 49 two-story row homes close to the Reynolds Boys and Girls Club and Owl Creek school. The Dixie Café last month received a restaurant wine and beer on-premises license for its site at 3875 N. Shiloh Drive.

It’s the first location manager Daniel R. Brady said he had worked with such a license but not an entirely new concept in the chain.

Fayetteville is one of the towns in which some people may want a beer or glass of wine with their dinner, Brady said, particularly during game weekend. New menu, new fresh fish program at Red Lobster

Red Lobster has begun November by launching an expanded fresh fish list and modifying its menu to include new items and a design inspired by the Maine coast.

Up to eight species of fresh fish will be flown in from around the world, with selection changing daily at each location based on local customer preferences and availability. The new line is accompanied by an optional new sweet and spicy glaze and a line of featured chef’s creations that will rotate through the year. The chain marked the occasion by launching a virtual cookbook at its Web site, www. redlobster. com.

Ben Jack’s guitar giveaway results Three Arkansans took home the guitars given away recently by Ben Jack’s Arkansas Music Store. The prizes were part of Ben Jack’s celebration of 40 years in business in Fayetteville and his stores being the only Gibson Guitar dealers in western Arkansas. Gary Jennings of Lowell won an Epiphone Zak Wylde Buzzsaw guitar. Harold Mars of Springdale took home an Epiphone Dot Studio model, and Jeff Paul of Centerton received the grand prize, a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar.

Park West The Milholland Co. is seeking preliminary plat approval for 125. 98 acres west of Arkansas 112 and east of Deane Solomon Road. The request is to subdivide the property for future commercial development.
