Show brings out classics

GENTRY ó More cars than ever graced the circle walk in Gentryís city park for the annual car show on the Fourth of July.
Visitors viewed a wide variety of cars and trucks, dating back to a 1923 Ford Model T and up to a spruced up 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby. Also included in the show was a 1945 Chevrolet Truck owned by Glenn Smith, with flagdraped casket in the truck bed, devoted to remembering those whoíve sacrificed much in this nationís military, police or fire service.
Trophy winners were announced and trophies presented at the close of the show. ì As usual, all the cars were fabulous, î said Tammie Runyan, the showís organizer. She said the show was a great time for everyone and she looks forward to seeing all the cars and car enthusiasts again next year.
The annual July 4 car show is sponsored by the NWA PT Cruiser Club and by the Main Street Gentry Chamber of Commerce.
