Bella Vistans are honored as volunteers

Two couples from Bella Vista recently received Tribute Awards for their volunteerism with the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County.
Bob and Kitty Toney and John and Mary Middleton were honored during a celebration of the program's 24 th year of assisting single parents.
The event, held Aug. 21 at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Bentonville, recognized volunteers who have dedicated their lives to the betterment of others.
The couples join the ranks of other great SPSF volunteers and supporters, such as Pat Reid, Virginia Mocvnik, Jim von Gremp, Dick Trammel, Helen Walton and Don White, according to a press release from the organization.
Volunteers serve in many roles, including tutors, mentors, computer programmers, fundraisers and social event planners.
