Friday, Oct. 10 7: 30 p.m. The Village Players will close their 27 th season with "See How They Run "in White Auditorium on the Northwest Arkansas Community College campus in Bentonville. Additional performances will be at 7: 30 p.m. Oct. 11 and 2 p.m. Oct. 12. Tickets priced at $ 10 for adults and $ 7 for students can be purchased at the door or in advance at all Bella Vista branches of Arvest and First Western banks. In Bentonville, tickets will be available at the Bentonville, Financial Center and NWACC branches of Arvest. Tickets may also be purchased online using PayPal. Saturday, Oct. 11 11 a.m. The second annual Wiener Dog Races, a fundraiser for the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, will take place at the Glasgow Road softball fields. People are invited to bring lawn chairs and watch the races throughout the day. The championship race will begin at 2: 30 p.m. There will also be an all-breeds talent contest and local vendors. Lunch will be available for purchase. The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 4 but was postponed because of rain. Sunday, Oct. 12 2 p.m. Highlands Church, 321 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista, will present "Spirituals, Songs of an Enslaved People," featuring the sanctuary choir. Soloist will be Kierstin Bible, a lyric mezzo-soprano.

6 p.m. The Golaway Family Singers and Friends will present a gospel concert at First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive. A freewill offering will be taken. Tuesday, Oct. 14 1 p.m. The Bella Vista Library Board of Trustees will have its annual meeting Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Bella Vista Community Church. The meeting is open to the public, with voting by library cardholders. Saturday, Oct. 18 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Delta Trust & Bank, 1790 Forest Hills Blvd., will sponsor a rummage sale in its parking lot to benefit the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Village House Adult Day Program will host its first fall festival in the facility's parking lot. This huge sale will be conducted by Dollarhides Estate and Moving Sales. Free coffee and donuts or muffins will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Chris & the Boys will provide live entertainment at 10: 30 a. m., and lunch for $ 5 per person will be served at 11: 30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 8 a.m. First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista will celebrate the dedication of its new Casavant / Temple pipe organ with a series of special services. The celebration will begin at the traditional services at 8 a.m. and 10: 45 a.m. At 3 p. m., famed organist John Obetz will present a formal recital. The program is free. A reception will follow in Becker Hall. Sunday, Oct. 26 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Bella Vista Library and the Property Owners Association will sponsor the second annual Halloween Spooktacular at the library. The celebration will include games, drawings, crafts, story telling and a costume contest. The costumes will be judged at 2: 30 p. m.; however, dressing up is not required to attend the event. Candy, light snacks and refreshments will be served. Saturday, Nov. 8 7: 30 p.m. The Bella Vista Big Band will present a dance at Riordan Hall to "Honor the Veterans. "A free dance lesson will be taught at 7 p.m. by representatives of Danceandswing. biz. Tickets are $ 10 each at the door; property ownership is not required. A singles table will be available.
