Thursday, Aug. 21 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The public is invited to explore health care options at a free health fair at Frisco Station Mall in Rogers. The Community Blood Bank of the Ozarks will be conducting a blood drive during the fair, in addition to offering free blood pressure checks. Information will be available from area health care professionals, including the topics of hearing loss, weight control, chiropractic and rehabilitation services, medical equipment, massage therapy and health insurance options. Saturday, Aug. 23 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. United Methodist Women will host a rummage sale on the lower level of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive. Proceeds will go to local charities. Sunday, Aug. 24 9: 30 a.m. The Rev. Richard Warnke, a missionary serving in Ukraine, will preach at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 626 W. Lancashire Blvd. in Bella Vista. Call 855-7853 for information. Monday, Aug. 25 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Plaza at Highlands Crossing, 1 Highlands Crossing Drive, will host a "Dog Days of Summer"program. The public is invited to come and enjoy ice-cold watermelon. The Plaza is a senior housing cooperative with 59 suite residences for independent seniors aged 60 and older. Call 876-1877 for details. Tuesday, Aug. 26 7 p.m. Bella Vista Community Concert Band will be joined by guest clarinetist Sarah Manasreh for a free performance at Blowing Springs Park. A picnic supper will be available from 5 p.m. to 6: 45 p.m. for $ 7 per person. Concertgoers should bring lawn chairs. Organizers are expecting a large crowd and encourage music lovers to arrive early. Saturday, Aug. 30 4 p.m. A free seminar on real-estate investment will be offered at Century 21 A & B Village Realty, 2860 Bella Vista Way. The onehour session will show people what it takes to be a real-estate investor in today's market. Space is limited. Proceeds will go to the Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund. Saturday, Sept. 6 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The city of Bella Vista and the Property Owners Association are teaming up to present a Public Safety Day at Riordan Hall, 2 Riordan Drive. Visitors will have a chance to meet first responders, explore emergency vehicles and equipment, and license their dogs with the city. There will also be a "smoke house "demonstration by the Fire Department, food, music and more. Sunday, Sept. 7 3 p.m. Jack Mitchell and His Big Band will perform "September Song"at Arend Arts Center in Bentonville. This will be Mitchell's last concert in Bella Vista, as he and his wife are moving to Tennessee. Advance tickets are $ 10 each and are available at Bella Vista Arvest banks, Arvest Bank in the Bentonville Wal-Mart Supercenter, Village House Adult Day Program and The Weekly Vista. Wednesday, Sept. 10 8 a.m. Members of the Sages group of Bella Vista Community Church invite the community to join them for a matinee showing of "The Last Romance"in Kansas City. The dinner-theater production stars Marion Ross from the TV show "Happy Days. "The price is $ 69 per person and includes bus fare, the show and lunch.
