Redhawks one of 16 left standing at World Series

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Rogers Redhawks 10-year-old USSSA baseball team was among the final 16 teams playing in the AAA USSSA World Series on Friday before being eliminated 4-3 against the Lockport (Ill. ) Cobras.
The Redhawks beat the Texarkana Outlaws 4-3 to advance to the round of 16.
In that game, Macauley Sams pitched a complete game and the Redhawks came from behind in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead.
John Babyar started the rally with a single. Bradon Mabry followed with a two-run homer to tie the game.
Harrison Heffley and Hunter Bayles followed with singled and Sage White sacrificed Heffley home for the winning run.
Earlier in the tournament the Redhawks defeated the South Texas state champion Beaumont (Texas ) Gladiators 7-4. Mabry pitched a complete game, while Dane Olsen provided the game-winning hit.
Bayles provided the final margin with a two-run blast to left center. Jacob Winkle and Heffley had doubles in the game.
