ROGERS - Main Street Rogers' fourth annual Fall Festival has been rescheduled for Saturday. The four-part event will take place in historic downtown Rogers near the Frisco Stage, at First and Elm streets.

DesignWorks invites families to design frightful holiday yard decorations at its Builda-Scarecrow event. The first 200 families who come by Frisco Park between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. will receive supplies to assemble their own scarecrows. Materials are free, and all are encouraged to bring any creative accessories for the scarecrows - hats, shoes, etc. Families can put together a scarecrow on site and take it with them when they're finished.

Baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate and hot cider will be for sale, with proceeds donated to Main Street Rogers.

The Rogers Farmers Market will hold its fifth annual Pumpkin Fest from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The festival will feature fall decorations, pumpkins, gourds, corn shocks and crafts, as well as locally grown fresh produce and cut flowers.

Those attending the Fall Festival will be "back on the farm "with the Downtown Hay Ride, offered by Farmers Insurance-McLeod Agency. A trailer piled high with hay bales will pick up passengers at Frisco Stage and take them on a tour of Rogers' bricklined downtown streets. Stop by between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to enjoy a leisurely free ride.

That new scarecrow will need a few plants to protect it in the front yard this season. Shoppers may accent their homes' landscaping with fresh flowers from the Fall Plant Sale, hosted by the Main Street Rogers Business Committee. In addition to the quality products offered in the downtown shops, a variety of mums and pansies will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will support the Rogers Historic District.
