Not impressed by Square work
I am disappointed to see what the end results are for the current phase of the restoration process taking place on the Bentonville Square, specifically regarding the streets around the Square. I would have never thought someone would have such bad taste to use the materials they have and leave the streets as they are. I thought the job wasn't finished and there was more to come, but to my sadness, I was wrong.
The heights of the sidewalks, the ramps for the handicap, the signs (none ) - these are only some of the things I am calling out. I doubt very much that the business owners around the Square are very happy with the end results of this phase. As a resident, taxpayer and voter, I am not.
Who is responsible for this mess ? What can be done to fix this ? What can we do to restore the beauty and attraction our Square had not too long ago ?
Have you all noticed how bad the streets have been fixed by crews who have to do some sort of work, and later on they badly "patch"the area where they have been drilling ? You can see these everywhere you go around the city. Is this the price of growth we will be paying by having our agencies in charge of this type of work ? If that is so, I guarantee you that we are going to be in worse shape very soon. I hope others see the same thing I am seeing and raise their voices to call for accountability and corrective action.
