Doing the ‘Twist’ in downtown Fayetteville
A new event hopes to green up Fayetteville, and what better way to draw a crowd than with live music?
The inaugural Twist of Green Festival comes to the Square beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 4, including performances by Tiffany Christopher, The OneUps, indian flutist John Two-Hawks, above, and more.

Saturday
10 a.m. — Opening ceremony at the East Square Plaza building at the east side of the Fayetteville Square.
10:30 a.m. — The Children’s Theatre Workshop will present “Jack and the Beanstalk with a Twist” at the University of Arkansas Continuing Education Building on the northeast corner of the Fayetteville Square.
11 a.m. — Clarke Buehling will perform.
Noon — “Gus and the Captain at Sea” children’s puppet show by Joanne Kaminsky at The Art Experience, 641 W. Sixth St.
12:30-1:30 p.m. Dan Chiras workshop, focusing on green family activities, in the Walker Community Room at the Fayetteville Public Library.
1 p.m. — Tiffany Christopher at Jammin’ Java, 21 W. Mountain Street.
2 p.m. — Susan Shore performs.
6 p.m. — John Two-Hawks and Van Adams will perform.
7 p.m. — The OneUps perform in a Twist of Green Moonlight Street Dance.
Sunday
11 a.m. — Power to the Feet Art Bike Parade along Mountain Street to the Fayetteville Square
Noon — Snake Eyes and the Bug Band
12:45 p.m. — Shaky Bugs
1 p.m. — Shout Lulu
2 p.m. — D West and the New Roots
