Despite the Arkansas Razorbacks’ opponents and the meager margins of victory, senior quarterback Casey Dick has been impressive in his new role as a play-making pocket passer rather than an offensive caretaker.
Dick, who has ranked near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference’s passing statistics, the three previous seasons is thus far ranked among the best.

Fayetteville sophomore wide receiver Demetrius Dean was offered a scholarship to play football for the University of Arkansas Monday. Just got word that the Saturday game with Texas has been moved to Sept. 27 because of the potential threat of Hurricane Ike making landfall on the Texas coast on Saturday. Both teams shared the same bye week, so the movement was fairly easy.

Arkansas’ sports information department just released a press release announcing Raycom will televise the Hogs’ Southeastern Conference opener against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sept.20 with the kickoff set for 11:30 a.m. at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
