Petrino ‘encouraged’ after Smith’s limited return to practice

UA tailback Michael Smith returned to the practice field this afternoon for 40 minutes in individual workouts. Coach Bobby Petrino was “encouraged” with Smith’s progress in limited work, according to Kevin Trainor, UA sports information director.

Wilson out indefinitely with mono

The rumors are true. Arkansas backup quarterback Tyler Wilson is out indefinitely with infectious mononucleosis.
UA sports information director Kevin Trainor confirmed the news in an e-mail correspondence this afternoon. Trainor wrote that Wilson has an enlarged spleen, a symptom of the virus.
