Arkansas Media Day: Uni watch 2008
The Razorbacks were flashing their new duds this morning at Arkansas Media Day. Quarterback Casey Dick paused and popped his Arkansas collar for us. The uniform is very different from the replica jersey that leaked on the Internet as you can see.
You can tell Petrino and crew went for the tusk feel with the sides of the uniforms sporting some white tusk-like design. Petrino said the unis are meant to help with recruiting and judging from what the players said, it might just work. Wide receiver London Crawford echoed his head coach’s SEC Media Days sentiments and said Monday that the jerseys were “definitely tight.”

All right, I hope this is the last time we discuss the subject of new uniforms. I’m afraid I’ve already been labeled as the “tight uniform question guy.”

Awful, just awful. They’ll fit in nicely with all the 3A high schools though.
I like the jerseys. I agree with dwp007, too. Don’t mess with the Hog on the helmet. I’ve said it before, but I like the cardinal pants and jersey combination. I wanted to see that long before last year’s Cotton Bowl. I hope we still wear the white pants with cardinal jerseys sometimes, though.
It appears that the guys will have an assortment of different pants this season. I’m okay with that and like the new jerseys, as well.
Just don’t mess with the headgear. Those hog helmets are known everywhere and are too cool, as is.
I don’t like the change. Why are they always trying to trick up the uniform? Remember those goofy looking pants a few years ago. This new jersey looks like it belongs in Conference USA, or the Mountain West. Hogs (and the Sooners) had the best looking uniforms in college last year, why change. No uniform tradition! You never see LSU, Fla., Auburn, USC, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Ohio State, all the big teams, changing their jerseys. Go back to last years jersey, that’s what I think. Hog fan for over 50 years, so I’ve seen a lot!
