VIDEO: Tebow Mania in Alabama
Walk through the lobby at the Wynfrey Hotel today and you would have seen about a dozen Florida fans gathered, and hoping and waiting for their savior, Tim Tebow, to make an appearance.
Well, as of yet, the Heisman Trophy winner has not made the trek to the lobby level from the second floor, where SEC Media Days is being held. But that didn’t stop a contingent of fans from making signs and gasping every time Tebow’s 6-foot-3 frame made a distant appearance at the top of an escalator as he walked to and from radio, Internet and print interviews this afternoon.
Check it out for yourself in this video I just put together. Notice Tebow juking an SEC representative out of her shoes as he walks in for an interview.
Personally, it was amazing how many members of the media stood outside interview rooms to just get a quick clip of Tebow walking. It’s almost as if he’s human!
I’m just as guilty, though. Waiting 20 minutes for his arrival in one interview room made me feel like a member of the paparazzi. Tebow told me earlier today that he does get tired of the constant fan-hounding but he looks at it as a blessing. I’ll have more on Tebow’s superstardom in tomorrow’s Northwest Arkansas Times.
