Running Razorback logo at midfield
You've been clamoring for a logo at midfield at Reynolds Razorback Stadium and it seems you're getting it.
A 90-foot running Razorback logo -- like the one you see on the Arkansas helmet -- will adorn the field this season, say the guys at The Sports Animals with Shawn Arnell and Wally Hall, sports editor of the Democrat-Gazette.
It looks to be the largest in the nation, according to Shawn and Wally's interview with a graphic designer with World Class Athletics. It's full color, red and black, and it will reportedly cover the field from 35-yard-line to 35-yard-line. World Class Athletics was contacted last week about doing the job.

I pulled this re-worked photo above from an e-mail and I'm not sure who created it, so if anyone knows, shoot me an e-mail and we'll give you proper credit. It gives you a pretty good idea of what the monstrous paint job will look like come Aug. 30.
Trying to think back here, but what year was it that the UA tried to do a logo at midfield but it ended up looking so horrendous that they removed it the next year? Was that at War Memorial or Razorback Stadium? Fill me in here, guys.

1991 at WMS against Texas. Looked like death warmed over.
MacGyver Hawg on Hogville posted that picture.
Midfield always seemed bland without something there, especially compared to other stadiums. Someone had their thinking cap on. Nice touch for a program that will be on the rise.
It looks horrible! I think it is the tone of the red. Why do we need to be like every other school, midfield doesn't NEED anything, but if we must feel the need to have something, then make the pig smaller.
