Hillis signs with Broncos
Former Arkansas fullback Peyton Hillis signed with the Denver Broncos today, according to the Denver Post.
Details of the deal were not released by the team but the Post previously reported that Hillis might receive in the neighborhood of $51,000 in a signing bonus.
Hillis finished his career at Arkansas with a school-record 1,195 yards and 11 touchdowns receiving by a running back. His most memorable moments, however, probably came in the 50-48 upset of No. 1 LSU last season when he caught a TD from Darren McFadden and busted through the vaunted LSU defense for a 65-yard TD run.
Hillis joins former Hog teammates McFadden, Marcus Monk and Marcus Harrison with signed NFL contracts before training camp commences for their respective teams.
