Petrino: Arkansas ‘needs to be my last job’
First-year Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino has been ridiculed, judged and generally slanted in a bad light by the national media since his hasty departure with the Atlanta Falcons in December.

Bobby Petrino
He loves to throw the ball. He’s guarded. He’s meticulous. He’s organized. He’s a college-minded coach in a professional coach’s body. And most of all, Razorback fans feel like they have a big-time coach again for the first time since the basketball Hogs’ days with Nolan Richardson.
The man hasn’t even coached a game, but his offensive exploits in spring ball has fans riled up. Fans are also seeing a different side of the seemingly stoic coach on the Razorback Club circuit.
Today was perhaps one of the first opportunities for reporters outside Arkansas to catch up with Petrino since his December departure from the NFL. Reporters from the Atlanta Journal Constitution and several other outlets caught up with the coach before the annual SEC spring meetings in Destin, Fla., and asked a few questions. Most of the topics, as you can imagine, dealt with the Atlanta Falcons.
The usual responses were given, but one can suspect that Petrino will cue a few double-takes in Arkansas tomorrow morning with this line courtesy of the Knoxville News Sentinel’s John Adams:
“I feel like this needs to be my last job,” said Petrino, who took Louisville to a BCS bowl before leaving for the Falcons after the 2006 season. “Professionally, there’s no question that’s how it needs to be. And that’s also what I want.”
Arkansas fans will want to believe him, and many will. ESPN’s Pat Forde, who dealt with Petrino as a beat reporter in Louisville, may not.
Only time will tell who is right.
For now, Petrino seems to be right at home in Hog Land and Arkansas fans couldn’t be happier.

People need to just get used to Hog football… it will be re-spelled in the dictionary as FTS! (Feed The Studs). Everyone will be wearing *Petrinol FTS tee-shirts*. High Octane Offense, baby! Petrinol.com
The schedule is absolutely brutal and it may not happen next year, but with some time, Bobby Petrino will take the Razorbacks to the promised land. Go Hogs!

Are you ready for some FOOTBAAAAAAAALLLLL? Said it before, say it again, best hire that could have been made. This year’s schedule will test this new staff. I look for it to be a better season than most expect. We’ll see, can’t wait!! GO HOGS!!!!!

Let’s hope, if this is what Petrino really wants, the insane “fans” won’t manage to run him off.
One of the top ten Florida prep football players.
Jacob Wischnefski Melbourne, FL
Size: 6-2, 240
Position: OL
Why watch: Once again, a Wischnefski will challenge the typing skills of reporters.
One of the offensive anchors of an experienced Bulldogs team that reached the second round of the Class 5A playoffs last season. Good technique and a 3.9 GPA student.
Will help lead Melbourne’s running attack. Brother, Ryan, plays offensive line at Florida Atlantic.
Coach Todd Wilson: “He’s fundamentally very good. Maybe we can get him a little meaner.
There are a lot of schools that like him.”
Future: A smaller version of his brother, Wischnefski is receiving ample attention from the second tier of Division I. Wilson worried some large schools might back off, however, because of his height.
I work with his mom and I got to attend his spring game on May 22 in Melbourne, FL. Ryan and Jake are great kids. Awesome family. Ryan had his bowl ring (the one he got from beating Tulsa to win the Conference USA title). Ryan plays for the UCF Golden Knights and they won the liberty bowl game last year.
