Darren Woodson upset with Felix’s jersey choice
Not everyone is all smiles when talking about former Razorback Felix Jones‘ arrival in Dallas.

Felix Jones Dallas Cowboys jersey No. 28
Only six Cowboys, including Jones, have worn the number. Here’s more:
Former Cowboys safety Darren Woodson saw his old jersey number scoffed up by free-agent running back Tyson Thompson in 2005. Now Felix Jones has it.
“Are you serious? Already? Again?” Woodson said when informed that the Cowboys’ top draft pick now has No. 28, which hasn’t been out of circulation since Woody retired.
Darren Woodson No. 28 Cowboys jersey“That’s my number, that’s just how I feel.” Woodson explained. “It’s hard to swallow.”
The Cowboys do not retire jersey numbers, but some are protected by the team’s equipment manager. Included in that “protection list” is Troy Aikman’s No. 8 and Roger Staubach’s No. 12, according to the article.
Jones, of course, wore No. 25 during his career at Arkansas but that number was already taken in the Dallas camp.

What a whiner! I read the article and there are several Hall of Famers who have their numbers worn on a regular basis. Woodson needs to just get over it. He may end up in the Hall of Fame, but I certainly wouldn’t put him in company with Aikman, Emmit, or Staubach. It’s not like Felix was given a lot of choices. He had to choose between numbers 28 and 29.
Woodson is just another reason I detest the NFL; which for the most part, consists of a bunch of overpaid crybabies.
Regardless, many kudos and thanks to the [current] number 28. Go Hogs!
