Tornado damage changes times and venue for SEC Tourney
The Southeastern Conference Tournament will move from the Georgia Dome to Georgia Tech’s home arena after the dome was damaged Friday night from a tornado that did extensive damage to downtown Atlanta around 9:45 p.m. (EST).
A text message from Arkansas Sports Information at 2 a.m. (EST.) said the Kentucky-Georgia game that was postponed Friday night will be played at 11 a.m. (CST.) and that the Arkansas-Tennessee game will be played at 5 p.m. (CST.) and that Mississippi State will play the winner of the Kentucky-Georgia game at 8:30 p.m. (CST.)
The SEC office later confirmed this information.
The SEC Tournament Championship game will be played at 2 p.m. (CST.) Sunday at Georgia Tech.

CNN just announced the championship game would be Monday……who’s got it right??
According to the SEC, the NCAA said the championship game must be played on Sunday because the winner of the championship game is the league’s automatic participant in the NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA Tournament bids go out Sunday eveneing.
