Do the early exits of Florida and Ole Miss help Hogs?
Do the losses by Florida and Ole Miss in the first round of the SEC Tournament help the Hogs in their pursuit of a NCAA bid?
Possibly.
Some believe the Razorbacks are in the tournament regardless of the outcome of this afternoon’s 2:15 (CST.) game with Vanderbilt. However, if the Hogs do fall to Vandy, Florida and Ole Miss will not be able to improve their NCAA resumes and surpass the Hogs by making a deep run in the SEC Tournament.
If the Hogs beat Vandy today, most feel they are a lock tourney but could improve their seeding by playing deeper into the SEC Tournament.
A long run in the SEC Tournament by the Hogs might also encourage the NCAA Selection Committee into placing Arkansas in the North Little Rock sub-regional rather than sending them further away.
If the Hogs make the tourney, they could travel to Anaheim, Calif. or Denver, Colo. or Omaha, Neb. or North Little Rock or Birmingham, Ala. or Washington DC or Raleigh, N.C., or Tampa, Fla.
