High winds of a tornado struck downtown Atlanta between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. Friday night.
The winds damaged the Omni Hotel, Phillips Arena, CNN Building, Westin Hotel, the Georgia Congress Center and the Georgia Dome, where the Southeastern Conference Basketball Tournament is being held, among other downtown structures.
