Though it’s John Pelphrey’s first trip to the SEC Tournament as Arkansas’ head basketball coach, it’s certainly not his first experience in the tournament.

In somewhat of a surprise, the South Carolina topped LSU, 77-73, in the opening game of the Southeastern Conference Basketball Tournament.
Little guard Devan Downey packed his stat line helped the Gamecocks to victory with 12 points, 11 assists three steals and 7 rebounds.
