UA’s most famous cheerleader dies
Will Etta “Willie” Oates, a well known Little Rock fundraiser and member of the Arkansas legislature, died at the age of 90 Tuesday.
Oates, a 1941 graduate of the University of Arkansas, was a UA cheerleader and for decades returned to cheer on the sidelines at Razorbacks homecoming football games.
