Most of us saw this coming. Former Arkansas running back Darren McFadden has been answering tons of questions about his off-the-field demeanor at the NFL Scouting Combine this week.
From the altercation outside a nightclub before the 2006 season that left him with a hurt big toe, to the recent handcuffing outside another Little Rock night [...]

With Gary Ervin, you take the good with the bad. When his shot’s on and he’s getting the calls, Ervin can really light up the scoreboard. He and Stefan Welsh lit it up in [...]

For much of the season, senior point guard Gary Ervin has thrived in a sixth-man role, coming off the bench to provide a spark on offense and defense as well as experience.
But in the Hogs’ 87-61 thumping of LSU on Wednesday, Ervin joined the starting lineup. Ervin hit 7 of 13 shots to score 17 [...]

As a senior in 1992, John Pelphrey and his Kentucky teammates were the first Wildcats to host the Razorbacks at Rupp Arena.
To say the least, that Razorbacks squad — which included Lee Mayberry, Todd Day and Oliver Miller — were rude guests.
The score was close for much of the game, but as Nolan Richardson’s Razorbacks [...]

Had circumstances been a bit different last spring, Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie could have been on a different sideline for today’s Kentucky-Arkansas game.
Gillispie dodged the subject on Thursday when asked about Arkansas’ pursuit of him to be Stan Heath’s replacement, saying nothing that happened last spring will affect today’s 1:06 p.m. CBS-televised clash.
But, if Tubby [...]

It’s been reported since late Tuesday, but former Arkansas coach Nolan Richardson actually is interested in the Arkansas State coaching position vacated by Dickey Nutt.
In an article in today’s Democrat-Gazette, Richardson continued to express interest in the position.
“I feel like I’ve been taking a six-year vacation so it’s time to go back to work,” Richardson [...]

Arkansas’ 87-61 win over LSU is done and Razorbacks coach John Pelphrey feels fortunate.
The Hogs (18-7, 7-4 SEC) are now just one game back of Mississippi State in the SEC Western Division after the Bulldogs fell at Ole Miss tonight, 74-63. Pelphrey also felt fortunate that LSU’s Marcus Thornton was on the bench most of [...]

Arkansas’ 3-point barrage has been jaw-dropping in the first half. The Hogs, led by Stefan Welsh’s 3-of-4 performance beyond the arc, have hit 9 of 13 attempts from 3-point land. They’ve also been pretty good inside the line, and are connecting on 58.8 percent of their field goal attempts.
Right now, it’s all but over. Arkansas [...]

The Hogs are out to a 21-point, 35-14 lead with 8:04 remaining. Weems, Ervin and Townes have been the catalyst on offense through a 21-0 run since the 12:03 mark.
Weems has 7 points and is looking a lot like an NBA player tonight, hitting 10-plus-foot faders in defenders’ eyes. LSU is back on offense now [...]

We’re getting ready to tipoff here in Bud Walton Arena. Just a couple of observations before we go live here:
Bud Walton Arena is fairly empty for an SEC game. You can probably blame the attendance tonight on the bad weather moving into Fayetteville tonight. The area is under a Winter Storm Watch.
LSU center Chris Johnson [...]
