Brewer to participate in NBA Rookie Challenge
Former Arkansas guard Ronnie Brewer was selected and will play in the NBA’s freshman-sophomore game on Feb 15. The game is the prelude to the Association’s All-Star game on Feb. 17.
Brewer will compete on the NBA’s sophomore team. The Fayetteville native is averaging 11.9 points per game for the Utah Jazz in his second season.
The Salt Lake Tribune has more from the sophomore star:
“Going from last year, it’s definitely an improvement for me,” said Brewer, who played in only 56 games as a rookie. “That’s the kind of improvements that I want to make and hopefully each year I can make that improvement.”
Brewer has started in all 45 of Utah’s games this season. The 6-foot-7 star will compete against notable rookies Kevin Durant, Mike Conley and former Southeastern Conference foe Al Horford.
