Lee on his way to…the Dolphins?

Former Arkansas offensive coordinator David Lee’s stay in Oxford was a short one. Just enough time to grab a quick cup of coffee before jetting to South Beach. Lee has signed on to be the Miami Dolphins’ new quarterback coach, and has reunited with Bill Parcells, the new vice president of football operations for the sagging franchise. Lee is the second staff member on Houston Nutt’s staff to bail after the former Arkansas head coach skedaddled across the Mississippi River.

Louis Campbell took a job at Mississippi State after agreeing to join Nutt at Ole Miss.

  1. Hey, if it complicates matters for HDN, I wish him all the best!

  2. Although leaping from the bandwagon late, I was a Houston Nutt supporter until nearly the end. However, in my opinion, it is more than a little telling in terms of the real person responsible for calling plays when an offensive coordinator leaves to become a quarterback coach. Two OC’s have now abruptly departed company with Nutt.

It will be interesting to see what he does from here and whether there will be a new “figurehead” OC at Ole Miss.

No harm intended and I wish them all well,. Regardless, i think Bobby Petrino and his staff are the real deal. In time, they will deliver. GO HOGS!

  3. We will find out if Petrino is the real deal. This job is in a pressure cooker league…not that little league Louisville competes in. Do ya think he may duck and run if he loses two or three early. He’s got a history of that, you know.

  4. ua65, when has Petrino cut and run after losing a couple? The Atlanta Owner makes White look hands off. The players were using his coaching style as an excuse to quit in mid-stream and undermine the coaching staff. I am not enamored about how he left the NFL, but; thgis is not a history repeating itself. Accuse/Convict him at Arkansas after he commits a crime.
