Louis Campbell to oversee defense for bowl
The Arkansas Razorbacks don’t know who their bowl opponent is going to be, but interim head coach Reggie Herring announced that longtime Razorback administrator and coach Louis Campbell will coordinate the defense in Herring’s stead.
As acting head coach, Herring said he would not have enough time to devote to film study and the other duties a defensive coordinator is in charge of. Herring said he has complete trust in Campbell, who has a wealth of college coaching experience at Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Alabama.
Campbell stepped in as the Razorbacks’ defensive coordinator prior to the Hogs’ appearance in the 2000 Cotton Bowl. Not coincidentally, the Razorbacks defeated the Texas Longhorns, 27-6.
