Croom thinks McFadden deserves Heisman
Count Mississippi State coach Sylvester Croom as a person who thinks Darren McFadden still deserves the Heisman Trophy. But after running for 117 yards and no touchdowns in a loss to Tennessee, Arkansas’ premier running back seems to be losing his grip on the coveted award.
There is little doubt that McFadden is the best player in the game right now. But the Razorbacks’ record is so average that his chances of winning the trophy are diminishing by the week. He’ll need strong performances against the Bulldogs and LSU in the final two games of the season to strengthen his candidacy.
