Arkansas basketball ranked for first time since 2000

Even though the Arkansas Razorbacks have yet to play a game, they are ranked for the first time since 2000. The Hogs enter the ESPN/USA Today basketball preseason coaches’ poll at No. 19. North Carolina grabbed the top spot.

The last time Arkansas was listed in either the media or coaches’ poll Bill Clinton was still president and the New York Yankees were still savoring their third consecutive World Series title.

  1. Just shows that Broyles the(raciest) is so stupid that he fires the coach that made this team.Heath got the shaft because he was black not because of his record.Look at the stupid record of his pet Nutt.Shames the UA.I wish the UA all the best but send Nutt out with Frank.

  2. Gambler, that’s just ridiculous. Heath was fired because his team lacked motivation,(See Missouri game) discipline,(See Texas Tech game) adequate play calling,(See Kentucky game) they were playing a style of basketball, they weren’t really equipped to be playing.(See all games) Heath clearly was a good recruiter but was completely over his head in the SEC. As for Nutt, there’s no comparrison between Basketball in the SEC, and Football in the SEC, no comparrison at all.
