The heat is on
John Pelphrey is expected to win…and win immediately. That’s the message the national media has been delivering since Arkansas’ new basketball coach was hired in April. The Razorbacks have six seniors and one really talented sophomore (Patrick Beverley). Rivals.com writer Andrew Skwara weighs in about the team Pelphrey inherits:
There will be 62 new coaches in Division I this season. Most are taking on rebuilding projects. Some are looking to make their new teams competitive in their conferences. Arkansas’ John Pelphrey falls in the minority: those with big expectations immediately.

This guy is eventually going to be a big time winner. GO HOGS!
I beleive Coach Pelphrey will meet all of our expectations. He is an fierce competitor. He will demand performance & will not be a nice guy coach. He will get talented players to play beyond their potential. The future is bright! Woo Pig Sooieee
Look at the recruits already committed for next year. This man is bringing in talent that is far better than his football counterpart.
This dude will not settle for slackerball. It may take a little while to get the chemistry down, but once the 40 minutes of PEL system kicks in, look out. GO HOGS!
