Arkansas’ offense spittin’ and sputterin’
The Razorbacks produced only 97 yards of total offense during the first half and failed to score a single point against the 14th ranked defense in college football.
Darren McFadden’s Heisman Trophy chances are nearly kaput after gaining just 23 yards on 10 carries in two quarters of play. He really hasn’t been the same since his performance against Alabama on Sept. 15, during which he gained 195 yards on 33 rush attempts in a 41-38 loss to the Crimson Tide. McFadden sustained a concussion in that game.

i think it is a little strong saying D-Mac not been the same since bama. D-Mac will not do anything against 8&9 man fronts until we pass with consistency to some extent.
Perhaps. But he hasn’t been able to break free for the long runs. Don’t forget this is McFadden’s first SEC game since Kentucky. And he didn’t look particularly sharp against Tennessee-Chattanooga last week. It’s too early to put his season to bed. But it’s not going according to plan. That’s for sure.
I certainly cannot argue with any of your last comment. Of course you have the advantage of seeing him & the team live where you can really judge his speed strength & quickness. I know from attending various D-1 games at LSU that television doesn’t do justice to the speed of the players. So far tonight it appears the only hope we have right now is for D-mac or Jones ability to break one anytime they touch the ball. It looks like Auburn is winning in the trenches.
When you have a “D1″ defensive team and can put 8 to 9 in the box no one but superman would have a chance. Maybe someday the passing game we get promised every year will show up and make defenses play us honest. “Not”
